The P N RAO Legacy
P N RAO was founded in 1923 by the late Pishe Narayan Rao in Bangalore. The firm had humble beginnings in a small store on M G Road, with Shri P N RAO designing garments for officers and ladies of the erstwhile British Empire in the cantonment area. Today, the brand has made an indelible mark with seven stores spread across Bangalore and Chennai, where it has built a reputation of suiting up the cities’ elites. My advisor in the shop (Christopher) took excellent care of us, measured everything precisely, and provided great advice. They have every fabric imaginable in the store. Got a good suit done from the store. The whole experience was excellent. Christopher and Yellendra understood all of my requirements well and explained them well when he disagreed and suggested changes for my body size and the occasion. They had an i house designer who helped me make a decision on the colour and fabric. The tailors are great too. Manjunath quickly figured out minor corrections and changes exactly the way I wanted during the fittings. It helps if you have a mental picture of what you want before going to the store and it becomes a lot more easier.
